Illegal drugs have apparently rocked the Hollywood party culture once again, as the ex-boyfriend of “Samantha Who” star Christina Applegate was found dead Tuesday from what Los Angeles police believe to be a possible drug overdose. Lee Grivas was found in his Hollywood apartment, and police are believed to have found a syringe at the scene.

Grivas, a former Alaskan fisherman, skateboarder, and aspiring photographer, is reported to had a long history of drug abuse dating back to his teenage years. The 28 year old Grivas dated the 36 year old Applegate off and on since the star’s divorce from actor, Johnathan Schaech. The former “Married With Children” star broke off an attempt at reuniting with Grivas in April until he sought help for his addictions.

After hearing of Grivas’ death, Applegate released the following statement.

“I am profoundly saddened. Lee was an incredible human being who was an extremely important and beautiful part of my life. He is missed beyond words. He touched so many and I feel much sadness for his mother, brother and all of his family and friends.”

Very sad for Christina, not to mention Grivas family. I was shocked to read about it, he was so young.
