Ex-Govenor’s Call Girl Drops Lawsuit

Ashley Dupre, the New York call girl who rose to celebrity status as the woman behind the fall of former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, has dropped a lawsuit against the founder of the popular “Girls Gone Wild” DVD and Internet franchise. Dupre claimed in the suit, that she was only 17 when she was exploited by Joe Francis, who she met in Florida while on spring break.
The lawsuit claimed that she was approached by producers of the series, given alcoholic beverages, and coerced into signing a release. But attorney’s for Francis provided a video of Dupre draped in a terry cloth towel stating her name as Amber Arpaio. She answered yes to questions by an interviewer asking if she were over the age of 18, and that she agreed to appear in the videos. She also produced a New Jersey drivers license which was captured on camera with the name Amber Arpaio, and a birth date which would have made her older that 20.
Dupre was working as a high priced escort when she became the center of a prostitution investigation that involved the former New York governor. The investigation disclosed that Dupre received thousands of dollars from Spitzer for services and as gifts, and traveled to Washington at least once to meet him at an exclusive hotel.
Dupre’s lawsuit states that she was on the “Girls Gone Wild” bus for over a week, during which time, Francis made seven videos. But hers is only one of several lawsuits filed against the flesh peddling entrepreneur. Francis as released from jail in March after serving one year for child abuse and prostitution charges in Florida.
