Amy Winehouse Once Again Rushed To Hospital
For the second time in as many months, soulful songstress Amy Winehouse was rushed to the hospital Monday night for what a hospital spokesman said was a reaction to prescribed medication. She was admitted last month after collapsing at her London home. She is expected to bereleased sometime Tuesday.
Her most recent hospital visit comes only days after rumors began circulating that Prince Azim of Brunei has offered Winehouse $2 million to perform for he and his friends in November. The 25 year old prince has been know to bestow lavish fees and gifts on his favorite entertainers.
But, the talented Winehouse has received as much publicity in recent months for her lifestyle and antics as she has for her singing. She has battled a much publicized drug and alcohol addiction, and after a trip to a recovery facility last year, she released what became her biggest hit, “Rehab”.
The troubled singer was photographed in December walking the streets with bare feet, wearing only a bra and jeans. Not long after that, she and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, a grade school drop-out with a long history of drug abuse, were photographed bruised and bleeding after an alledged fight. There were also photos of her on the Internet smoking what appeared to be crack cocaine.
