Matt Damon Runs In Escape To Miami Triathalon
He’s never been shy about getting a little physical on film, but who would have thought that Matt Damon would have caught the bug to compete?
This weekend, Damon showed up and unexpectedly participated in the Escape to Miami Triathalon Sunday after being talked into to it by his brother. The star of the Jason Bourne movies created a stir when he participated as a part of a relay team which also included his step father and a family friend.
Damon ran 6.2 miles for his leg of the relay, and was clocked at 59 minutes and 54 seconds. He was greeted at the finish line by his wife Luciana, and their newborn child, Gia.
Damon was encouraged to participate by his brother Kyle, who suggested the event as a way for his celebrity brother to lose some of the weight he put on while filming “The Informant ” over the summer.
