Julianne Hough , a two time winner on the hit television show “Dancing with the Stars ” is ready to leave dancing behind. Hough, interviewed by Ryan Seacrest on his Los Angeles radio show, said that she is leaving the show to focus more time on her country music career.

Julianne Hough became an overnight celebrity after appearing in the fourth season of “Dancing with the Stars”. That season, she was paired with Olympic speed skating champion Apolo Anton Ohno , and became the youngest professional dancer to win the DWTS competition.

In season five, Hough was paired with Indiana 500 winner Helio Castroneves , and again took first place in the prime time dance competition.

Now, after four seasons, the vivacious 20 year old is hanging up her dancing shoes to spend more time behind a microphone.

“I’ve always wanted to sing country music,” says the Utah native. “I’ve grown up with country music. I love how real everybody is, not just the artists, but the fans.”

By all indications, Hough may already be a country music star. Her self titled album which was recorded late last year, reached number 1 on the Top Country Charts. It also rose to number 3 on the Billboard 200. She has already been on tour with Brad Paisley, and has recorded a collection of holiday songs, “Sounds of the Season: The Julianne Hough Holiday Collection “.

I really hope she does well with her music career.

Isn’t strange how so many celebrities are changing careers or directions in their life.
