Beyonce Will Sing “At Last” at Obama Inauguration
What Beyonce wants, Beyonce gets.
Beyonce Knowles, who immediately made it clear after the presidential elections that she would love to sing at President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration, will do just that. The superstar songstress will sing the Etta James classic, “At Last”, to open the inauguration festivities.
“I am so honored that I will be performing for President Obama and the First Lady. To sing ‘At Last’ while they have their first dance is a dream come true,” Beyonce said in a statement. “I could not be more honored and excited to that they have asked me to be a part of thei moment in history.”
Beyonce performed the song on the soundtrack of her lastest big screen feature, “Cadillac Records”, in which she also has a starring role.
But, Beyonce will not be the only superstar in her household performing during the inaguration festivities. Her husband, Jay Z, will also be performing, along with Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Maroon 5, and a host of others. Presentations will be made by celebrities including Denzel Washington and Leonardo DiCaprio.
