Chris Brown and Rihanna Reunite at Miami Beach
Chris Brown was all smiles as he and Rihanna reunited for a weekend of fun in the sun at a beach front home in Miami. The reunion happened just three weeks after the r&b entertainer was arrested and charged with assaulting the sexy singer on a Los Angeles street just hours before both were scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards.
Both Brown and Rihanna have maintained a low profile since the incident, but each released a statement to the press. Brown’s statement was one of apology, while Rihanna’s was more in the tone of healing. But rumors began circulating about a possible reunion just days after the assault, when Brown telephoned the hip-hop princess for her birthday.
Critics are pointing fingers at Sean “Diddy” Combs for aiding the reunion by offering his Miami Beach home as a private getaway for the couple. But Rihanna’s father is also said to support his daughter’s decision to talk things out with Brown.
“I support my daughter with whatever road she takes,” said Ronald Fenty. “I’m behind her win or lose. I will be supportive.”
Others are dead set against a reunion. Bloggers have been voicing concern that a few trips to anger management classes hasn’t cured Brown of his issues. Some fear that the classes, which he began attending las week, are just a ruse for his upcoming court appearance.
But others are more supportive.
“They care for each other,” says a source close to the couple. “While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.”
Chris Brown is a sick SOB. Rihanna is obviously in huge denial. When she goes back to that ass hole he will most certainly beat her up again, she may wind up dead. Brown should be locked up. Rihanna needs big time therapy.
As an abuse survivor(I refuse to use the term “victim”), this makes me ill. Once a hitter, always a hitter. No two ways about it. I wish her father stood not behind her, but in front of her blocking her way and helping her see the truth.
She is clearly in love but I hope for her sake…they both go to counseling and he is the exception to the rule that a hitter is always a hitter.
