Vince Shlomi has become a national celebrity as the pitchman for ShamWow. He can also be seen hawking a slice and dice type kitchen utensil called Slap Chop. But recently, the ShamWow guy made a pitch to a prostitute which lead to him slap-chopping his way to jail.

Shlomi, 44, was arrested last month in Miami ona felony battery charge for beating up Sasha Harris, a prostitute he met at a Miami Beach nightclub. Police records show that Mr. ShamWow pitched Harris a $1000 offer for straight sex after hours of heavy drinking and petting.

Shlomi told police that he paid Harris in $20 bills in his $750 a night hotel room. He then said that while kissing her, she bit, and held on to his tongue with her teeth. At that point, he began punching Harris with both fists until she let go. Both Shlome and Harris were treated at Mount Siani Medical Center, and police recovered $930 in cash from Harris’ purse, which is being held as evidence.

When arrested, police said that Shlomi was bleeding from the mouth. Hospital records indicate that Harris had two black eyes, and a possible fractured cheek. Harris has indicated that she intends to file a suit.

In the midst of the NCAA Elite Eight basketball tournament, and while several NBA teams struggle to fill the final few playoff slots, CBS’s ‘60 Minutes’ may have trumped the other networks Sunday by airing an interview with basketball’s current top dog, Lebron James.

Lebron “King” James talked basketball with master interviewer, Steve Kroft. But he also talked about his passion to win an NBA Championship.The 24 year old is the this year’s favorite to win the league’s MVP, and in just a few short years, has become a sports empire. He has single-handedly turned the Cleveland franchise around, and may be having the greatest impact on his spot since Michael Jordan.

But what’s even more amazing is how effortlessly Lebron takes it all in stride. Nothing seems to pressure him. During the interview, he tossed a basketball 70 feet and hit nothing but net. And he did it underhanded.

This year has been nothing short of amazing for the phenom. So far, he has lead his Cleveland Cavalier to the best record in the NBA, and he achieved a personal milestone by becoming only the second player in NBA history to score 2000 points, grab 500 rebounds, and dish out 500 assists four years in a row. The only other player to have accomplished that was Oscar Robinson.

At 24, if Lebron is just getting started, can anyone else come close to what he’s capable of achieving?

Grammy award winning rapper T.I. has been sentenced to one year and one day in prison by a U.S District Court in Atlanta for charges stemming from his October, 2007 arrest on gun charges. When given an opportunity to speak prior to sentencing, the multi-platinum selling rapper showed maturity by making amends rather than pointing fingers and casting blame elsewhere.

“Today, I would like to thank some, and apologize to all,” he said, directing his comment to U.S. District Judge Charles Pannel, Jr. “Everything I learned was through trial and error. I’ve learned lessons in my life to put in my music so people won’t make the same mistakes as I.”

T.I. was originally released under house arrest after posting a $3 million bail. But the terms of his release were renegotiated last March after he plead guilty to U.S. weapons charges, which included possession of a machine gun and silencers. T.I. changed his plea from not guilty to guilty in an effort to avoid a possible 10 year sentence. The rapper also has a previous conviction on drug charges.

While out on bail, T.I. has made a tremendous effort to change his ways. He has performed more than 1000 hours of community service, and has appeared on a reality show trying to convince at-risk kids to follow a different path in life than he did. His efforts were well received by the court, and made a difference in his receiving a reduced sentence.

Hopefully, T.I. will believe in hie own message when he’s released. 

Aaron Spelling’s mansion hit the struggling real estate market today. The asking price? A cool $150 million, according to the late television producer’s widow, Candy Spelling.

The $150 million asking price places Spelling’s mansion as the most expensive residential property for sale in the U.S., and it comes with every possible amenity that anyone could possible ask for. The house is the largest single family home in Los Angeles County, and sits on 4.6 acres. It lists as it’s neighbors Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion, and the Los Angeles Country Club.

Aaron Spelling, producer of such television hits as “Dynasty”, “Charlie’s Angels”, and “Beverly Hills 90210, had the 56,500 square foot mansion built in 1991, and died in 2006.

There have been a number of upgrades, including a state-of-the-art screening room, with a screen that comes up from the floor as shades move down to cover the windows.

The three story house has more than 100 rooms, 30 foot high ceilings, a bowling alley, wine cellar, wine tasting room, China room, library, gym, and a media room. There’s even a gift wrapping room and a humidity controlled silver storage room. There home also has a separate wing for the service staff that includes seven bedrooms, a full kitchen, five fireplaces, and four wet bars.

Sounds like I could live comfortably in there for a year without anyone even knowing I was there.

Candy Spelling, who says that she’s selling the mansion because it’s too much room for just her, has already purchased a two story condo, for which she paid $47 million. Talk about down grading. 

Are you ready for  Sean Penn, Jim Carrey, and Benicio del Toro as Moe, Larry, and Curly? Three of the celebrity world’s most talented actors are being considered for the big screen revival of the “Three Stooges”.

Sean Penn has already signed on to play the role of Larry, and the word is that Carrey is close to sealing a deal to star as Curly. The comedic Carrey has already said he has plans to gain 40 pounds to more closely resemble the heavyweight character. Benecio del Toro is on top of the list as a potential Moe, leader of the masters of mahem.

The slap-stick frolicking of the three lovable characters is being turned into a potential big budget block buster by the Farrelly brothers, who have been interested in the project for several years. Peter and Bobbby Farrelly have already written a scrtpt, which Bobby refers to as “Dumb, Dumber, and Dumbest”.

The producers are hoping for a fall 2010 release.

Valerie Bertinelli looks hot in a bikini! The former teen star, who says she hasn’t donned a bikini in nearly 30 years, rocks harder then an Eddie Van Halen guitar riff while posing on the cover of People magazine’s latest issue.

Bertinelli starred in the long running TV hit “One Day at a Time”. She turns 49 next month, but you couldn’t tell it by the photo. She  credits the Jenny Craig weight-loss program for helping her to shed 40 unwanted pounds in only nine months. Bertinelli now serves as a Jenny Craig spokeswoman, but she was riddled with doubt about baring next to nothing for all the world to see.

Bertinelli asked herself, “Am I going to do this? Can I pull this off?” But she later cozied up to the idea after convincing herself, “What am I so afraid of? Come on-it’s just a bathing suit.”

The 5′4″ actress whittled down from a bulging 172 pounds, to her current weight of 132 by combining diet and exercise. She admits to reducing her calorie intake from around 1,700 to 1,200, and walking some 10,000 steps per day.

Nadya Suleman is quickly becoming a public relations nightmare. The octuplet mom has fired or run off every support professional hired to assist her transition from media spectacle to normal mom. Now, she has let go of what might be her greatest support system yet, an army of free nurses whose job was to help her care for her 14 children.

The non-profit charity, Angels in Waiting, has confirme that has released them of their services, but has declined to comment on what went wrong.

A spokesman for Suleman says that she has had a number of run-ins with the nurses, and that the oganization was fired because the nurses were spying on her, and reporting her to child welfare services. Suleman says that she will now rely on her own nannies to help her with her children.

Bad blood has existed between Nadya and Angels in Waiting since the organization would not allow her to film a reality show. But producers of the show says there was never a deal in place anyway.

Sounds like Nadya is already not dealing with reality. Does she really need a show?

David Letterman finally ties the knot. Letterman announced during Monday’s taping of CBS’ “Late Show” that he married longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko on March 19, after dating for more than 20 years.

“I had avoided getting married pretty good for, like, 23 years,” said the “Late Show” host. “I secretly felt that men who were married admired me… like I was the last the real gunslingers.”

Letter, 61, and the 49 year old Lasko got hitched near the comedians’ spread at Teton County Courthouse in Choteau, Montana. The couple has a five year old son, Harry, who attended the small ceremony with his parents.

Letterman and Lasko began dating in 1986, and he joked at that time, “Well, things are going pretty good, let’s just see what happens in about 10 years.”

Letterman is the second high profile celebrity to get married this week. As reported in CelebrityWorld on Saturday, action star Bruce Willis married his girlfriend, Emma Heming this weekend, but Harrison Ford also proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Calista Flockhart this weekend.

It’s been a busy week for Cupid.

Harrison Ford finally popped the question to longtime girlfriend, Calista Flockhart. Ford, 66, proposed to the 44 year old former “Ally McBeal” star after nearly eight years of dating. That’s longer than most Hollywood marriages.

People magazine reported the Ford proposed over the Valentine’s Day weekend. This would be the third marriage for the “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “Star Wars” star, while Flockhart has never been previously married.

Details of the wedding plans have not been released, but friends of the cuple say that Ford presented Flockhart with an engagement ring while on a short vacation.

Ford’s engagement to Flockhart follows the weekend nuptials of fellow action star, Bruce Willis to girlfriend, Emma Heming.
