Mark Titus has become a full-fledged celebrity. The Ohio State b-baller is not on anyone’s radar as a future NBA draft pick,but his on the court/off the court blogging antics are raising eyebrows in the league’s front offices.

Mark Titus is not dellusional about his prospects as an NBA star, yet, he’s entered his name into the upcoming NBA draft. He doesn’t expect to hear his name called, nor is he even expected to even make it into the league.

He actually started his college basketball career as a walk-on who rarely got playing time for an Ohio State team that made it to the NCAA Tournament, but he’s became an Internet celebrity for his blog, “Club Trillion: Live views from the end of the bench “. The blog has had over a million hits, but Titus became more of a hit when he entered his name in the draft, and even suggested to NBA Commissioner David Stern that he be allowed to wear a three digit number.

The NBA has fired back. The league has demamded that Titus remove his name from the draft, feeling that he is making a mockery of the NBA. As of today, Titus has refused. But, the funny thing is, that with all of the commotion being stirred up, Titus has virtually doubled the number of hits to his blog.

Big doings for a guy who play in all of two games this year. 

Paris Hilton got groped? The celebrity world is buzzing about the lastest Paris Hilton news byte, in which the celubutante was either felt up, or pushed, in an incident that led to an all out bar brawl.

In what has quickly become a war of he said/she said, as different scenerios are emerging about what really happened. What we do know is that Hilton and her latest boy toy, Doug Reinhardt, were partying at the Los Angeles hot spot H-Wood when all hell broke loose.

Appearantly, Hilton and Reinhardt were dancing when a drunken male admirer reached for her cleavage. Reinhardt defended his woman by pushing the guy away, and then having his “boys” beat the living crap out of the guy. Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren were dancing nearby, and were totally shocked by the incident.

My only question is… what cleavage on Paris Hilton could the poor guy have possibly been reaching for? Could he have simply mistaken her for a pole and was just trying to hold himself up?   

Former NBA star Jayson Williams has been hospitalized for observation after displaying bizarre behavior, including barricading himself in a Manhattan hotel and trashing his room. Police were called after the hotel staff reported that the former New Jersey Nets center was “suicidal”, and that he had been drinking heavily and taking pills.

Police were called to the Hilton Embassy Suites in Battery Park at 4 a.m. this morning, after a friend reported a disturbance in his room. Members of the Emergency Service Unit had to subdue the 6′9″ Williams with a taser gun before removing him from the property. Police say that it took two pair of hand cuffs to restrain him.

Inside the room, officers found several suicide notes, a message written on the hotel room wall, and evidence suggesting that Williams might be dealing with depression.

“He was barricaded, drinking, taking pills,” according to a police source. “He was overwhelmed. It all came crashing down.”

Friends say the 41 year old has been dealing with a number of emotional issues, including the illnesses of his parents, his recent divorce, and a pending re-trial of a manslaughter case in which he is accused in the shooting death of his chauffeur.  

Beyonce proves once again that she is still the celebrity world’s media queen. The hip hop diva’s latest film release, “Obsessed” tops this weekends box office ticket sales, bringing in $28 million in the first three days of release, and easily outdistancing the high touted Zac Efron comedy “17 Again”, which in it’s second week of release generated $11.7 million.

“Obsessed” also outpaced two other highly marketed debuts this weekend. “Fighting”, the testosterone driven film about underground bare knuckle fight tournaments featuring Channing Tatumm asnd Terrence Howard, fimished at number 3 with $11.3 million. And The Soloist” with Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. came in at number 4, with $9.7 million.

Beyonce bas become a true media mogul as of late. She produced last year’s “Cadillac Records”, in which she played music icon Etta James, had a hit record with “I am… Sasha Fierce”, sang at President Barack Obama’s inauguration, and is broadening her skills as an actress by taking on meatier rolls. She has also announced an agressive 2009 world tour, which is expected to include more than 100 cities.

Long time television star in sitcom icon Bea Arthur, star of the hit series “Maude” and “The Golden Girls”, has died. Arthur, 86, passed away Saturday in her Los Angeles home after subcumbbing to a battle with cancer.

Bea Arthur began acting in the 1940’s after a stint as oje of the first female recruits in the U. S. Marine Corps. In a career that spanned close to 70 years, she worked as an actress, comedian, and a singer. Her television career began in 1951 on the popular “Kraft Television Theater”, and she was still doing performances as late as 2008. She won Enny Awards for her performances in both “Maude” and “The Golden Girls”.

Rue McClanahan, who played Blanch opposite Arthur’s Dorothy Zbornak character commented, “Bea was an important part of a very happy time in my life and I have dearly love her for a very long time.”

Late night host Jay Leno of NBC’s “Tonight Show” reported to work as usual Thursday, but was hospitalized after not feeling well. Leno spent the night at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center for “precautionary reasons”, but was released on Friday.

Rumors surrounding the cause of Leno’s hospitalization have ranged from heart attack to food poisoning, but there has been no official statement regarding what caused of his illness.

Taping of the show was canceled Thursday and Friday, marking the first time in 17 years that Leno has missed a taping of the top rated late night show. A Statement released by the network read, “We are happy to say that Jay Leno is feeling much better and has been released from the hospital. He is anxious to return to work on Monday”.

Leno is closing in on the end of his “Tonight Show” tenure. He will be taping his final show on May 29, before moving to a 10:00 p.m. primetime slot. 

             Controversial Beyonce audio track played on the Howard Stern Show

The audio track of Beyonce sounding like crap in a November appearance on NBC’s “Today” show is a fake. The doctored audio clip, which has made the rounds on the Internet, found it’s way into Howard Stern’s studio, and the controversial radio host played it on the air.

A creative blogger claims that he is responsible for the hoax, and that the remixed Beyonce’s performance in his home, and then place it on his blog. And though Stern seems to get a good laugh from it, the singer’s dad and manager, Mathew Knowles found it anything but funny.

“If no one took the time to listen to Beyonce sing ‘America the Beautiful’ and ‘At Last’ at the Neighborhood Ball for the first dance of President Obama and the First Lady, and they question Beyonce’s vocal ability, they’ve got to be an idiot,” said Knowles.

Beyonce, who this morning appearead again on “Today”, laughed the matter off while being interviewed by Matt Lauer.

I guess Howard Stern needed the Ratings.

Bo Jackson was once one of the most marketed celebrities in professional sports. Everybody knows the “Bo Knows” commercials. Bo knows baseball, Bo knows football, and in his hey day, Bo even knew Didley. But just when the country is in the worst financial crisis that it’s faced in more than 70 years, we can rest a little easier, because Bo now knows banking.

Bo Jackson has a knack for reinventing himself. After his professional football and baseball careers came to an unceremonious halt due to a hip replacement, he became a successful businessman. He is part owner of a food company, N’Genuity, and he also owns the Bo Jackson Elite Sports complex in Lockport, Illinois outside of Chicago.

Now, Bo Jackson is one of the primary investors in the Burr Ridge Bank and Trust. He sits on the board of directors, and promises to be very active in the day to day operations.

So, why did Jackson go into banking?

“We’re a small community bank and one thing we all decided, is that if we are going to do a bank in out community, it needs to be owned by the people who live in the community”, he said.

Personally, I can hardly wait to see the commercials.

Channing Tatum is quickly rising up the celebrity-to-watch ladder, and may have taken the unofficial title as the number 1 new celebrity to watch in 2009. Tatum first gained widespread attention in the 2005 basketball flick, “Coach Carter”, starring Samuel L. Jackson, but is now making his own mark with three big budget blockbusters being released this year.

The hunky Tatum sure has the WOW factor, but his “gosh, gee, darn” persona seems less like an up and coming Hollywood star, and more like his Mississippi River upbringing. He’s more Tom Sawyer with a hip-hop flavor, than a Brad Pitt wannabe. And he seems to take all of his new found celebrity in stride.

Tatum’s latest feature, “Fighting”, opens Friday and co-stars Terrence Howard. The film explores the growing world of underground brawling, which attracts everyone from Wall Street types to street thugs to events where the money winner is simply the last man standing.

Later this year, he will star as Pretty Boy Floyd in the Michael Mann re-make of the John Dillinger story, “Public Enemy”. The film starsh acting heavyweights Johnny Depp, Christain Bale, and Billy Cruddup. Not bad company to share screen time with.

“G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” is also being released this year, with Channing as the title character. This big budget adventure also features Dennis Quaid, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, and Marlon Wayans.    

Carlie Beck began coaching cheerleaders at Casa Robles High School during the same week that Carlie Christine became Playboy’s “Cyber Girl of the Week”. The problem, according to the San Juan unified School District in California, are that the two women are one and the same.

 There were whispers around the school about Carlie Beck’s extra curricular activities, mostly from members of the boys football team. But when one of the girls trying out for Beck’s cheerleading squad was cut for having more than three unexcused absences, she felt it her moral obligation to make school administrators aware of Beck’s moonlighting.

Adelle Geniella, 14, says she didn’t blow the whistle in retalliation for being dismissed from the cheerleading squad. Instead, she says that she simply lost respect for Beck after finding out about it. She told Matt Lauer on this morning’s “Today” show, “That’s not where my morals stand”.

The whole situation has become a hot topic around the school district. Some cheerleaders waved banners in front of the school demanding, “We Want Carlie Back”. Parents contend that Beck was issuing a double standard by telling her cheerleaders not to place racy photos on their MySpace pages, while herself becoming a hot Internet commodity.

Beck is seeking legal action to get her job back.
