NBC To Broadcast Final Episode Of ‘ER’ Tonight
NBC will broadcast the final episode of the hit television series “ER” tonight, in a two hour finale preceded by a one hour retrospective beginning at 8pm. “ER” is the network’s second longest running prime time series behind “Law and Order”, and the longest running medical series in history.
Created by the late Michael Crichton, the program helped launch the careers of some of Hollywood’s brightest stars, such as George Clooney, Anthony Edwards, Eriq La Salleand Julianna Margulies, and resurrected the careers of countless others. Other big name celebrities have appeared as guest stars, or in supporting roles.
More than 5,000 actors have passed through the doors to the emergency room at County General Hospital, a fictional medical facility based in Chicago.
