Oprah Winfrey seems to do everything a little over the top. The world’s most popular talk show host is well known for her generosity. In the past, she’s even given away cars to her entire audience. This time, the Queen of Talk is offering free chicken to all of America.

Oprah Winfrey has teamed up with KFC to offer a free two piece grilled chicken meal to everyone who goes to unthinkfc.com and downloads the coupon. The meal includes two pieces of the new KFC grilled chicken, two sides, and a biscuit, and is redeemable at any KFC. It ain’t two chickens in every pot, but it’s the next best thing.

Could she possible be considering running for public office?

Jenny McCarthy has spent her entire career changing careers. From Playboy pin-up to passionate parenting activist, and from actress to author, Jenny’s talent for reinventing herself is a almost a great as great as that of her boyfriends’, comedian/actor Jim Carey.

McCarthy is now poised to hit the airwaves as a talk show host, thanks to a recent deal with Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions. The former “Singled Out” hostess  has been a frequent guest on “Oprah”, and has campaigned tirelessly to bring awareness to autism, from which her son Evan suffers.

There is no word on any theme for the McCarthy project. A rep for Harpo Productions released a statement saying only that, “We have a development development deal with Jenny McCarthy. We are exploring possibilities across a variety of platforms-including her blog on Oprah.com.”

The deal is reported to include a syndicated talk show for McCarthy. 

Hugh Jackman and “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” accomplished exactly what was expected this weekend, it won the battle of the box office in this first week of the summer movie wars. But “Wolverine” didn’t just win, it crushed the competition, taking in $87 million in the U.S., and another $73 million overseas. That makes the latest X-Men installment the front-runner as the big budget summer blockbusters begin rolling into theaters.

Mathew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner, starring in “Ghosts 0f Girlfriends Past” finished in second place, with $15.3 million, and last week’s number 1, “Obsessed”, starring Beyonce finished third with $12.2 million. Zac Efron’s “17 Again” and the animated “Monsters vs Aliens” rounded out the top five, bring in $6.4 million and $5.8 million respectively.

Kara DioGuardi has been a hot topic this year. The newest “American Idol” judge has actually garnered more attention in her first year than any of the contestants. First there was talk of her standing up to Simon Cowell, then there was the dish about her possibly replacing Paula Abdul next season.

Little of it has come from Kara, who has simply resigned herself to do what she is paid to do… judge contestants. But in a recent interview with “TV Guide”, the hit songwriter opened up about her possible future on the show.

“I’m only here for one season”, she commented. “That’s what we’ve discussed. So, we’ll see what happens. Hopefully they keep me on.” She added, “I feel grateful to America that they let me grow and let me find my groove on the show and that they were patient. And hopefully I haven’t disappointed them. It’s been a scary experience at times.”

However, when asked about his opinion on whether DioGuardi would be staying on, Simon says “I would imagine so,” but says that it was out of his hands. “The only say I have is about Ryan, Randy, and Paula. I’ve always made it clear that I wouldn’t want to do the show without them. So that’s all I’m really concerned about.”

I’m not quite sure if that’s a glowing review, or a dis. I guess it’s just typical Simon.

Nas and Kellis may have been the next best thing to hip hop royalty since Jay-Z and Beyonce, but according to recent court documents, the high profile couple is now headed for divorce.

Divorce couldn’t have come at a more inopportune time, as Kellis is also reported to be seven months pregnant. A rep for Kellis confirmed the divorce filing and added “We request the media to respect her privacy during this difficult time.”

Rumors have been circulating for months about problems between the couple. The “Milkshake” singer was said to have been tiring of verbal abuse and infidelity by the grammy nominated Nas, whose album,”Untitled” was up for an award.The couple has been married for nearly five years.

But in an interview with MTV News last month, Nas gave no indication that the marriage was headed for divorce. As a matter of fact, he was discussing the possibility of a baby naming contest.

“I been thinking about kinda putting something online,” he said. “You get a couple stacks for that. We take care of you for that. You win something real”.

I’m guessing that that’s not going to happen now.

Mark Titus has become a full-fledged celebrity. The Ohio State b-baller is not on anyone’s radar as a future NBA draft pick,but his on the court/off the court blogging antics are raising eyebrows in the league’s front offices.

Mark Titus is not dellusional about his prospects as an NBA star, yet, he’s entered his name into the upcoming NBA draft. He doesn’t expect to hear his name called, nor is he even expected to even make it into the league.

He actually started his college basketball career as a walk-on who rarely got playing time for an Ohio State team that made it to the NCAA Tournament, but he’s became an Internet celebrity for his blog, “Club Trillion: Live views from the end of the bench “. The blog has had over a million hits, but Titus became more of a hit when he entered his name in the draft, and even suggested to NBA Commissioner David Stern that he be allowed to wear a three digit number.

The NBA has fired back. The league has demamded that Titus remove his name from the draft, feeling that he is making a mockery of the NBA. As of today, Titus has refused. But, the funny thing is, that with all of the commotion being stirred up, Titus has virtually doubled the number of hits to his blog.

Big doings for a guy who play in all of two games this year. 

Paris Hilton got groped? The celebrity world is buzzing about the lastest Paris Hilton news byte, in which the celubutante was either felt up, or pushed, in an incident that led to an all out bar brawl.

In what has quickly become a war of he said/she said, as different scenerios are emerging about what really happened. What we do know is that Hilton and her latest boy toy, Doug Reinhardt, were partying at the Los Angeles hot spot H-Wood when all hell broke loose.

Appearantly, Hilton and Reinhardt were dancing when a drunken male admirer reached for her cleavage. Reinhardt defended his woman by pushing the guy away, and then having his “boys” beat the living crap out of the guy. Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren were dancing nearby, and were totally shocked by the incident.

My only question is… what cleavage on Paris Hilton could the poor guy have possibly been reaching for? Could he have simply mistaken her for a pole and was just trying to hold himself up?   

Former NBA star Jayson Williams has been hospitalized for observation after displaying bizarre behavior, including barricading himself in a Manhattan hotel and trashing his room. Police were called after the hotel staff reported that the former New Jersey Nets center was “suicidal”, and that he had been drinking heavily and taking pills.

Police were called to the Hilton Embassy Suites in Battery Park at 4 a.m. this morning, after a friend reported a disturbance in his room. Members of the Emergency Service Unit had to subdue the 6′9″ Williams with a taser gun before removing him from the property. Police say that it took two pair of hand cuffs to restrain him.

Inside the room, officers found several suicide notes, a message written on the hotel room wall, and evidence suggesting that Williams might be dealing with depression.

“He was barricaded, drinking, taking pills,” according to a police source. “He was overwhelmed. It all came crashing down.”

Friends say the 41 year old has been dealing with a number of emotional issues, including the illnesses of his parents, his recent divorce, and a pending re-trial of a manslaughter case in which he is accused in the shooting death of his chauffeur.  

Beyonce proves once again that she is still the celebrity world’s media queen. The hip hop diva’s latest film release, “Obsessed” tops this weekends box office ticket sales, bringing in $28 million in the first three days of release, and easily outdistancing the high touted Zac Efron comedy “17 Again”, which in it’s second week of release generated $11.7 million.

“Obsessed” also outpaced two other highly marketed debuts this weekend. “Fighting”, the testosterone driven film about underground bare knuckle fight tournaments featuring Channing Tatumm asnd Terrence Howard, fimished at number 3 with $11.3 million. And The Soloist” with Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. came in at number 4, with $9.7 million.

Beyonce bas become a true media mogul as of late. She produced last year’s “Cadillac Records”, in which she played music icon Etta James, had a hit record with “I am… Sasha Fierce”, sang at President Barack Obama’s inauguration, and is broadening her skills as an actress by taking on meatier rolls. She has also announced an agressive 2009 world tour, which is expected to include more than 100 cities.

Long time television star in sitcom icon Bea Arthur, star of the hit series “Maude” and “The Golden Girls”, has died. Arthur, 86, passed away Saturday in her Los Angeles home after subcumbbing to a battle with cancer.

Bea Arthur began acting in the 1940’s after a stint as oje of the first female recruits in the U. S. Marine Corps. In a career that spanned close to 70 years, she worked as an actress, comedian, and a singer. Her television career began in 1951 on the popular “Kraft Television Theater”, and she was still doing performances as late as 2008. She won Enny Awards for her performances in both “Maude” and “The Golden Girls”.

Rue McClanahan, who played Blanch opposite Arthur’s Dorothy Zbornak character commented, “Bea was an important part of a very happy time in my life and I have dearly love her for a very long time.”
